Wir sind die Jugendgruppe des Ortsverbandes Hamburg-Nord, einem von sieben Ortsverbänden in der Freien und Hansestadt Hamburg.Die THW-Jugend ist die Nachwuchs-Organisation des Technischen Hilfswerks.Für Jugendliche, die Spaß und Spannung lieben, technisch interessiert sind und dabei noch gute Freunde finden möchten, ist die THW-Jugend genau die richtige Jugendorganisation. Unter dem Motto "Spielend Helfen Lernen" können Mädchen und Jungen im Alter von 10 bis 18 Jahren in der THW-Jugend Mitglied werden.Die THW-Jugend hat sich zum Ziel gesetzt, die Jugendlichen in spielerischer Form an die Technik des THW heranzuführen. Dabei wird jedoch neben der Ausbildung in diesem Bereich, wie z.B. Stegbau, Transport von Verletzten, Ausleuchten von Einsatzstellen und anderen fachbezogenen Tätigkeiten, die in etwa ein Drittel des Jahresprogramms ausmachen sollten, großer Wert auf allgemeine Jugendarbeit gelegt.Das heißt, es werden regelmäßige Spiele-, Film-, Bastel- und Grillabende, Wanderungen, Ausflüge, Radtouren und vieles mehr angeboten. Weiterhin stehen zum Beispiel auch technische Hilfeleistungen oder Umweltschutzaktionen auf dem Programm.
